It Was Poetry
As we delve into a dimly lit jazz bar, where the air is thick with the smell of wet pavement, cigarettes, and woman’s perfume, two former lovers cross paths once more after years of separation. Him - working there, waiting for her to walk in for what seems like ages now, Her - longing for a night alone, expecting a night filled with music and harmless flirtation with strangers. As the smooth notes of a live saxophone fill the room, the couple is suddenly swept back into memories of their turbulent relationship. Over the course of one unexpected night, they confront the highs and lows of their shared past—the charm, the intensity, and the fractures that left scars on their love. Both confused but magnetically drawn to each other, try to find out if the other person still feels the same. Her unsure intensions confuse his pure desire. As he makes her believe in them again, she turns around with probably unclear conscious. Through intimate conversations and silent glances, the film delves deep into the nature of love, asking if true, unconditional love can ever exist or if it's simply an unattainable dream.
